Another .gov.gr website hacked

Another website hacked in the syzefxis.gov.gr subdomain. This time it is the General University Hospital of Larissa. We have seen past months many website inside the syzefxis.gov.gr subdomain getting hacked. Isn’t time for someone to look into the security issues over there  ?

A short history of hactivism

Apple’s safety questioned…

Apple’s App store safety has been questioned lately, after the revelation of several cases of fraud through iTunes. Ryan Matthew Pierson was faced with a nasty surprise when he was charged with the amount of $430 for buying guns, nightclubs and cars in iMobsters, a popular game on iPhone. Sadly, Mr Pierson had never played iMobstes, yet he could see these purchases happening in real time.

Paypal XSS vulnerability

Paypal was affected by a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability, an exposure that allows a hacker to inject client side script into Web pages viewed by other users.
The hacker would be able to trick a Paypal subscriber into clicking a crafted version of the link and therefore, hijack the user’s session, financial transactions, money transfers etc.

Anti-SOPA billboard

Need to raise money for a good cause? Now you can do it over the internet. That’s what Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, did. He raised money to put up a huge billboard at Texas to oppose Texas representative Lamar Smith, author of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). The billboard said “Don’t mess with the Internet”.
